3 Espresso Recipes to Try While You Listen to Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso”

As an avid coffee drinker, “Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter instantly caught my attention. Espresso is strong, with its intense flavor compared to brewed coffee. For this week’s blog, I wanted to share 3 espresso recipes that you can make at home!

  1. Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso

When this drink got released at Starbucks, it became my favorite low-calorie option!

What You’ll Need:

  • 2 shots espresso
  • 2 tsp light brown sugar
  • 6 oz unsweetened oatmilk
  • 1 1/2 cups of ice
  • Dash of cinnamon

Steps:

  1. Prepare espresso and pour into a glass.
  2. Stir light brown sugar into the espresso while still hot.
  3. Using a cocktail shaker, add espresso, oatmilk, and ice and shake!
  4. Pour into tall glass and top with cinnamon.

2. Espresso Martini

As a 21-year-old, I think that this drink had to be on the list. Coffee as a drink sounds like a match!

What You’ll Need:

  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 1/2 ounce coffee liqueur
  • 1 ounce espresso
  • 1/4 ounce simple syrup

Steps:

  1. Add vodka, coffee liqueur, espresso, and simple syrup to a shaker filled with ice and shake until well-chilled.
  2. Strain into chilled cocktail glass.

3. Affogato

I love gelato and coffee, so I just HAD to share this recipe. The recipe below uses ice cream, but feel free to use any frozen dessert you prefer!

What You’ll Need:

  • 2 scoops ice cream (coffee, chocolate, or vanilla)
  • Shot of espresso
  • Dash of shaved chocolate
  • Dash of chopped hazelnuts

Steps:

  1. Place 2 small scoops of ice cream in a coffee cup.
  2. Pour in shot of espresso.
  3. Top with shaved chocolate and chopped hazelnuts.

With these recipes in mind, I’m excited to see what you end up making. Let me know what you think, and give Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” a listen while you’re in the kitchen!
