As an avid coffee drinker, “Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter instantly caught my attention. Espresso is strong, with its intense flavor compared to brewed coffee. For this week’s blog, I wanted to share 3 espresso recipes that you can make at home!
When this drink got released at Starbucks, it became my favorite low-calorie option!
What You’ll Need:
- 2 shots espresso
- 2 tsp light brown sugar
- 6 oz unsweetened oatmilk
- 1 1/2 cups of ice
- Dash of cinnamon
Steps:
- Prepare espresso and pour into a glass.
- Stir light brown sugar into the espresso while still hot.
- Using a cocktail shaker, add espresso, oatmilk, and ice and shake!
- Pour into tall glass and top with cinnamon.
As a 21-year-old, I think that this drink had to be on the list. Coffee as a drink sounds like a match!
What You’ll Need:
- 2 ounces vodka
- 1/2 ounce coffee liqueur
- 1 ounce espresso
- 1/4 ounce simple syrup
Steps:
- Add vodka, coffee liqueur, espresso, and simple syrup to a shaker filled with ice and shake until well-chilled.
- Strain into chilled cocktail glass.
3. Affogato
I love gelato and coffee, so I just HAD to share this recipe. The recipe below uses ice cream, but feel free to use any frozen dessert you prefer!
What You’ll Need:
- 2 scoops ice cream (coffee, chocolate, or vanilla)
- Shot of espresso
- Dash of shaved chocolate
- Dash of chopped hazelnuts
Steps:
- Place 2 small scoops of ice cream in a coffee cup.
- Pour in shot of espresso.
- Top with shaved chocolate and chopped hazelnuts.
